Criteria of Admission

  1. Strict merit shall be the base and criteria of admissions in various programs of the ISP.
  2. The merit shall be determined on the basis of the entry test to be conducted by the ISP and the criteria set out in this respect by each department.
  3. The students on transfer from other institutions will also be admitted provided they fulfill minimum requirements of the criteria set out for this purpose by each department of the ISP subject to the condition that the migrating student is coming from a chartered university.
  4. The letter of admission to be sent to the selected student, will contain the program of orientation, registration enrollment, fee structure and schedule of classes and teaching activities etc.
  5. Liberal scholarships and stipends as well as fee remission shall be offered to the deserving students. The students availing the facility of any concession would conspicuously maintain merit in each semester.
  6. The academic programs of the ISP shall be made visible to all segments of the society through advertisement in the printed and electronic media as per feasibility. The students selected on merit will be associated with the admission process ousting the hurdle and obstacle of financial constraints if any.

PROCEDURE AND CRITERIA OF ENTRY TEST

All admissions shall be regulated on the basis of merit. The merit shall be determined on the basis of academic record, entry-test. Suitability and Aptitude for a particular degree program shall be determined through interview. The weightage criteria for the degree programs shall be as given below:

Note: -

  1. Student would be required to pass / clear the Academic / Entry-Test separately
  2. Hafiz-e-Quran or player at provincial level shall get credit of five marks for admission

CONFIRMATION OF ADMISSION

  1. Upon the display of Terminal merit list of the successful students, they shall be required to confirm their willingness to enroll by depositing the prescribed fees and charges into the relevant account of the Institute. Admission shall only be considered complete if the original testimonials are submitted and payment of all dues within specified dates is confirmed to the Institute's registration office.
  2. If an applicant fails to confirm his/her enrolment within the notified period, his/her admission liable to be cancelled forthwith and the seat shall be offered to the next student on the waiting list.
  3. Admission to one degree program shall not give the student an automatic right to transfer to another program, unless specifically allowed with the mutual consent of the two concerned departments on case to case basis, and after approval by the competent authority on payment of prescribed fee.
  4. Admission into an academic program may be refused to A student without assigning any reason

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

To receive a degree, students must complete a set of requirements for that particular degree. Degree requirements for the various academic programs shall be determined by the Board / Academic Council from time to time. The present credit hours and semesters requirements are indicated in Schedule A appended with these Regulations.

Minimum Qualification for Entry

For Bachelor Degree Program a candidate must have passed Intermediate or its equivalent from any recognized institution.

For Master Degree Program a candidate holding a Bachelor Degree or its equivalent from University / Degree Awarding Institute is eligible.

Degree Requirements

  • For the grant of degree a student is required to complete the following requirements: – Minimum pass marks in each course shall be 50%
  • For Bachelor Level Program minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 2.0/4.0 is required for award of Transcript / Degree
  • For Bachelor Level Program minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 2.0/4.0 is required for award of Transcript / Degree
  • For Master Level Program or MS / M. Phil minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) 2.5/4.0 is required for award of Transcript / Degree
